"Caring with Compassion"

Virginia Ropiak's children chose Becker Shoop skilled nursing facility when they knew she was at a point where her dementia was progressing and it was time to change her living situation to a more structured, safe and caring environment. The choice was simple, knowing that Becker Shoop specialized in dementia care. We were not disappointed, the care she received was warm and compassionate and the atmosphere was calm with a variety of activities to keep her busy. Also, the staff kept us informed of any changes that occurred with her during her stay. Mom lived at Becker Shoop for 4 years.

At Becker Shoop, we offer specialized care designed to enhance quality of life and personal dignity of residents living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of memory impairment. Our programs at Becker Shoop are developed with attention to the personal needs and interests of the residents at various stages of the disease. We work closely with family members to provide support.

Memory Care

Programming is centered on activities of daily living to create routine and familiarity. The community offers an environment that is secure and welcoming, creating a space that feels like home. Our staff have specialized training that enable them to respond appropriately to the unique physical, emotional, social and sensory needs of the residents. Becker Shoop welcomes family and friends to participate in their loved one’s care as much as possible to enhance their lives. 

Becker Shoop is a Medicare and Medicaid (Title 19) certified skilled nursing facility and offers round-the-clock nursing care for short and long-term stays. To assist with moving into Becker Shoop, we will provide transportation from any hospital in Southeastern Wisconsin.
